Trudie was the darling daughter of
Sandy and David Bartlett
and a very special girlfriend to Michael.

All the staff at Helston Community Hospital
send their love and thoughts.
We know you are missing her so very much.

Trudie was a lovely girl who has definitely 'gone too soon'
and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Please add a note or perhaps a memory you may have of Trudie and maybe when Sandy & David and
Michael feel able, they can take some comfort from your comments and know that we are thinking of
them.

Michael has very kindly sent the beautiful photograph of Trudie, which you can see in the photo
gallery. It was taken by him when they were on holiday in Sardinia in September 2005. Michael says
it was the second week of a very relaxing holiday and was just before they received the news that
the cancer had returned after a year of remission. It was one of many lovely holidays and short
breaks that they managed to fit into their tragically short time together.

Trudie was a school friend starting at St Michaels juniors all the way through to Helston Comp. I will remember her bubbly character. Trudie always had a smile on her face she will be greatly missed. I would like to send my condolences to her family and boyfriend. x

League of Friends of Helston Hospital

Trudie, you gave Sandy & David such pride and joy. They will always have you in their hearts. We all felt that Sandy's 'expertise' would surely do the trick - but sadly not to be. All colleagues at The League of Friends feel so sad, but grateful to have known you - we send our thoughts to Michael and I promise that we will give Sandy all support.
Sleep well and wake up to a bright new dawn!

Trudie and I sat next to each other when we started at Helston Comprehensive School way back in 1983. As young 11 year olds who came from different Primary Schools, we managed not to speak to each other for the first few days (!), but much banter was endured after that time and even after 24 years the memories are still clear. I believe it was Trudie who gave me my nickname that is still being used to this day!

RIP Trudie

Miss You

Lots of people have written how special Trudie was and i would like to echo these thoughts - my memory of trude will always be her undefatigable humour at the little things in life.

From pixie boots to lisa stanfield hairdos, Trudie was a trailblazer and touched a lot of people. Many people will miss her including me and i am so glad that i had the chance to be part of her life.

Special thoughts to Sandy, David and i hope that they know how many people are thinking of them and want to offer support. Michael is a true gentleman and i know that Trudie loved him very much as do her friends.

Give her special care

God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be
He wrapped his arms around you
And whispered 'come to me'

So keep your arms around her, Lord
And give her special care
Make up for all her suffering
And all that seemed unfair.

All our love and thoughts to Sandy, David and Michael xxx

THINKING OF YOU!!!

You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all that she's left,
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared,
You can remember her and only that she's gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on,
You can close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what she'd want:
SMILE, OPEN YOUR EYES, AND GO ON.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all,
May you all find comfort in the wonderful memories that you have, God bless xxx
